Let the six airbags set your mind at rest, along with seatbelt pre-tensioners, a strategically reinforced body, Anti-lock Brakes (ABS with CBC, EBD and Brake Assist) and Automatic Stability Control + Traction (ASC+T). The present-generation BMW M3 was introduced for 2008. The following year, BMW upgraded the iDrive system and freshened the M3 sedan’s styling slightly.

The previous BMW M3 lasted from 2001-’06 and was available in coupe and convertible body styles. There was a single trim level for both, powered by a 3.2-liter six-cylinder engine producing 333 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission was standard, while a six-speed sequential manual gearbox (SMG) was offered as an option starting for the 2002 model year. The latter allows manual-style shifting via paddle shifters next to the steering wheel, and although it was popular, we weren’t fans of its herky-jerky performance.

BMW Korea and Samsung have joined hands again to co-market their 7-Series cars with Samsung phones. In addition to the previous features like Bluetooth hands-free and iDrive controller, the premium 7-Series will offer wireless charging for Samsung’s premium phone, T*Omnia (SCH-M490 in Korea). The phone needs to be kept on the designated place and voila, the phone will start charging.

BMW says this wireless charging solution in a car is world’s first but limited to a single device just kills the innovative feature.

Miranda-Series has just launched new details on the latest tuning program for the M3, BMW M3 E92 called Red Devil. The BMW M3 E92 Red Devil comes with a red and black two-tone paint finish and features with a new body kit that includes both front and rear spoilers from AC Schnitzer and a rear apron in carbon-fiber.

The BMW M3 E92 Red Devil is also equipped with a coilover suspension from Bilstein which reduces ride height by a couple of millimeters,, a carbon fiber strut brace and a new stainless steel exhaust sports system. The wheels are 19-inches clothes with 235/35 rubber at the front and 305/25 at the back.

It looks like this modified BMW 6-series has attracted a lot of impressions already. The car was tuned in Lithuania and the modifications completed look really well. The new body kit makes the car wider and transforms it into a strong muscle car with great stability and handling. The front side of the car was slightly modified and the new headlights make it look sportier. The pure red color reminds me of a lovely Ferrari and in the interior the car was customized with white leather that makes any detail of this car luxurious. As for the rims, this car has incredible 26″ rims that are equipped with 305/30 tires. The rims are made from shiny silver and at each turn, each time you change direction people will notice it.

The Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters is heading to Munich next month, racing right in BMW’s backyard at the stadium built for the ill-fated 1972 Olympic Games. And when it does, the Bavarian automaker will take the occasion to unveil a preview of what we can expect from its new DTM racer.

BMW has been working on its return to the German touring car series since announcing its plans last year. Probably even earlier. That’s set to take place next year, with BMW joining arch-rivals Mercedes-Benz and Audi for the first time in 18 years.

The car will be based on the M3, just like the BMW DTM cars from the 1980s which will be displayed alongside the concept at BMW Welt following the unveiling at the Olympic stadium.

The BMW M3 CRT differs quite a bit from last year’s M3 GTS, though both were conceived as lightweight versions of the E90-series car with more power, better brakes and upgraded suspension bits. For instance, unlike the GTS, the CRT comes fully loaded with navigation, a premium stereo system and is based on the four-door sedan with high-tech front and rear seats.

BMW is using the M3 CRT to debut its new carbon fiber production technique, which is used to good effect on both the front seats and a new hood that is as strong as a conventional steel unit with just one quarter the weight. More weight reduction comes from the titanium muffler, 19-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels and less sound deadening material. Even the brake calipers are made from a new lightweight compound.

A fresh set of adjustable coilovers work with a more rigid rear subframe and wide tires (245/35R19 front and 265/35R19 rear) to up the handling quotient. Power comes from a 4.4-liter version of BMW’s well-known high-revving V8 engine, producing 450 horsepower (at 8,300 rpm) and 324 pound-feet of torque (at 3,750 rpm). Those ponies are routed to the rear wheels through the automaker’s seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

We know most of the details in the general sense. (The assembled BMW development bosses were all bragging about how much they had driven it already around the Nürburgring and Hockenheimring, and all those other ‘Rings we don’t get daily access to. Dirty dogs.) A 553-horsepower, 4.4-liter Twin-Power Turbo V8 shared with the X5 M and X6 M behemoths, plus the small matter of 500 pound-feet of torque between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm. Redline is now right around 7,200 rpm instead of the discontinued E60 M5′s V10 that smacked us around at 8,250.

Versus the predecessor, which ceased production way back in December 2009, power is up by roughly 10 percent, torque by 30 percent, and fuel efficiency also by a whalloping 30 percent. “Drive it on the autobahn at full unrestricted speed around 180 miles per hour,” says the F10 M5′s project leader, Albert Biermann, “and certainly those efficiency numbers suffer. But our engineers drove the F10 every day to and from home some weeks, and have realized all of these better numbers.
