The Urban Line interior might not be to everyone’s taste. The gloss-white exterior highlighting on the grille, wheels and rear diffuser lip, is repeated inside on the centre console and dash highlights.

It comes with cloth/leather combos off the shelf, we had black leather.

We didn’t much care for the white surfacing – neither inside nor out (it looks like it got sent to the wrong dress-up shop). That said, the white splashes add a breezy air and will no doubt appeal to buyers looking for something a little different.

The 320d Touring comes with standard 17-inch alloys, fog lights and integrated roof rails. The interior sports the usual fare of climate-control air-con, leather trim, and multi-function centre console including i-Drive.

The excellent six-speaker stereo has a USB port and Bluetooth connectivity but no iPod dock. The multi-function steering wheel carries audio and phone; cruise control and trip computer sit on separate controls.

Options are heady and huge – our test car had the $8700 M Pack with sat-nav, 6.5” colour monitor, anthracite headliner, M door-sills, M light-alloy double-spoke wheels with run-flat tyres, M aerodynamic package, moonroof (another $3080), park distance control ($700), metallic paint ($1840) and a host of other goodies.

Details of pricing for the new Z4 have been released for the North American market, and they’ve risen substantially over the previous model.

BMW Group of U.S.A unveiled the sales report for the month of June; according to the report June was lucky month for BMW because sales of 26,865 automobiles were recorded for this which is 15.1% above than the sales of June 2010. Sales of BMW vehicles was 143,521 for the first half of 2011where as the sales for the first half of 2010 was 121,585 which means that BMW experienced 18% increase in sale in first half of 2011 as compare to 2010.
