Waiting for the BMW X1: Are you in Mumbai, then I am afraid rather bad news for you. You should wait a little longer. Oh no! Not delay the start or anything; Let me explain.

Bonds visited the BMW dealer in Mumbai – Navneet Motors to see if the car arrived in the shop or not. Much to our surprise, the shop manager told us that he had sold everything they had out of 100 many cars, is facing a similar situation in the Infiniti (Mumbai dealer etc.). These are just 2 of BMW dealers in Mumbai.

To dig a little deeper, we found that it does not take any further orders for the X1 will launch a new round of custody in April next year.

If this is the usual sales talk in person and then BMW has been able to achieve something great. And managed to sell a large consignment of cars until the official launch.

BMW overtook Mercedes recently the top producer of luxury goods in India. And X1, and we all expected, is just going to widen that gap.

Of course, we will be getting all your information from the official launch about 23 months. We have already sent to the specifications and prices before the BMW X1.

For a little exercise you can do for fun. Walking to a friend or partner and we appreciate everything he wears. Can one thing – clothes, shoes, etc. Look quick answer would be – “Oh! This is a brand “X”, and I bought the place “yes”. This is called “badge game based on a simple principle – many people (including myself) likes to brag about. badges full price” in offices, colleges, and what the parties are in arenas, and if you do not play the game the emblem and ‘you’re nobody.

Has conducted a similar ambition on the part of mortality and a superior officer, Mr. Rajiv Kapoor earlier announced that a competitor Alto in the work for the year 2012 թ. In his speech, he said -

He added, «all-new car will be, has nothing to do with any of the other models we have, and will be priced aggressively. It will compete with the Alto and will have engine capacity of one liter. The new car will be the one between India and specific, made in India, made for India, taking into account the unique terrain in the country and temperatures. Prophet R & D team is working day after day to develop a vehicle that meets the needs of consumers to the fullest. Market small cars in India and caught fire, and there is fierce competition. Entry level car space excites us »

We’re guessing this new model will borrow design cues from the new Punto, Panda and Uno. We can bet a million bucks that mortality will drop 900 cm cubic twin air gasoline engine under the hood. May be higher variables will come with 1L or 1.2L diesel engine, including the multi-plane 1.3-liter.

I have also talked about the 326 project which is to revive the Palio, which works Engineers working on the Brazilian as we speak. Since we lack sufficient information about the car, Little India, and we feel that there is a possibility of the two being related, and possibly both of the same car.

Taking on the screw – Maruti Alto is extremely difficult. After all, it has been a best seller since the dawn of history. Engineers and mortality is clear that the work pieces to them.

benchmark in its class, Acura’s dynamic sports coupe receives substantial performance and styling enhancements for 2005 that update its dynamic looks, refine and modernize the interior and make it even more fun to drive.

For 2005, the high performance Type-S model receives engine and exhaust system modifications that boost horsepower from 200 to 210 and torque from 142 lb-ft to 143 lb-ft. Engine output was optimized by applying high performance camshafts and enlarging the diameter of the intake duct by 10 percent. A larger diameter exhaust pipe and free-flowing catalytic converter helped to boost horsepower by increasing exhaust flow by 10 percent.

Remarkably, given the considerable power, RSX Type-S engine meets stringent CARB Low Emissions Vehicle-II (LEV-2) standards and is designed to run for 110,000 miles before the first scheduled tune-up.

The Type-S is equipped exclusively with a 6-speed, close-ratio manual transmission for quick, responsive shifting. For 2005, the final drive ratio on this transmission was lowered to provide even quicker acceleration while shift feel was improved by applying carbon synchronizers on fifth and sixth gear.

To meet the demands of the true driving enthusiast, the chassis of the RSX features track-tuned suspensions and steering systems for exceptional handling precision, outstanding cornering grip and a smooth, controlled ride.

Standard 4-wheel disc brakes with a 3-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) help to provide secure stopping power. To match its additional performance capabilities, the RSX Type-S uses larger 11.8-inch ventilated discs up front. For 2005, a larger diameter master cylinder was applied to increase hydraulic pressure, the rigidity of the brake pedal increased and the pedal stroke was reduced. These enhancements combined to both enhance stopping power and improve braking feel.

The exterior styling of the RSX communicates a message of power and precision through short front and rear overhangs, sweeping curves and sharply chiseled accent lines. For 2005, Acura updated the styling to make the RSX look lower, faster and more aggressive. In front, the fascia has been redesigned with lower, rectangular air ducts, aggressive-looking tri-beam headlights and a new Acura-family grille. Side sills on the RSX are now body colored, while the side sills on the Type-S are more substantial, and wrap further around the car to highlight the new wheels and tires. The rear of the RSX was redesigned with new taillight assemblies, a new bumper, larger diameter exhaust tips and, on the Type-S, a deck lid spoiler. The result for both models is a more aerodynamic car that gives off a strong feeling of mass and power.

The interior of the RSX features a driver-oriented cockpit that has been updated for 2005. The seats have been re

Starting in 1991, Acura reached an agreement with the Comptech Racing to use the V6 motor of the all-new Acura NSX in Comptech’s Camel Lights Spice prototype. Acura would go on to take the Lights championship in its initial year, including a class win at the 24 Hours of Daytona. Acura and Comptech would take the Lights championships again in 1992 and 1993, as well as another Daytona class win in 1992 and a class win at the 12 Hours of Sebring for 1993.
Comptech’s 1992 Spice-Acura IMSA GT Championship competitor.

However a change in the IMSA rules would lead to the demise of the Camel Lights, and so Acura moved to touring car racing, joining Realtime Racing in the SCCA World Challenge with the NSX in 1996, winning the final two races of the season. In 1997, Acura added Acura Integras to the lower classes, and were successful in taking the championship in both of these classes. Realtime took the touring championship with the Integra again in 1998, and came within a few points of winning it again in 1999 only to lose it in the final race, then coming back to retake the title in 2000.

Although Realtime had abandoned the NSX program in 1998, the NSXs returned to the top class in 2001. Although the NSX squad suffered mechanical woes and were unable to take the title, the Integras of the touring class once again took the teams championship. By 2002, Acura replaced the aged Integra with the new Acura RSX in the final races of the season, scoring good finishes in their debut. At the same time, Acura finally retired the NSXs from the top GT class. The RSXs would later be joined by new Acura TSXs in 2004. Realtime continues to campaign the RSX and TSX in the SCCA Speed World Challenge. Acura also currently races RSXs and TSXs in the Grand American Road Racing Association’s KONI Challenge Series for touring cars\

Saab comes to mind. But I think it’s their own fault (and GM). Saab lost its “weirdness” that made it so appealing in the 80′s. Hopefully they can bring it back (I’m already seeing some of it in the new 93).
Mitsu also. But I think it’s their marketing people’s fault. Their cars are decent (but they are the Japanese Dodge/Chrysle in regards to their interior material quality). If they could figure out how to successfully market to the US, they might do better.
I’ve always thought Vovlo put out nice looking cars (since the 850GLT) but not sure of their reliability since I only know of one person who had one and she said hers was terrible (but this is also from the same woman that constantly went the wrong way down one way streets down town – constantly).

I know people who bash Dodge/Chrysler but mine have been good cars for the price I paid for them. My mothers Acclaim she ran into the groud and didn’t take good care of it, but it did pretty well (other than the tranny that needed replaced around 100K miles, but I wonder if that was more her fault that desig

Antigua. The duo aren’t harnessing the power of the wind, or calling upon a small trolling motor for propulsion. Instead, they’re pedaling the boat, dubbed Torpedalo, across the sea. Both Sayer and Byass hope to make the trip in 38 days, 73 days quicker than the current record for a pedal-powered crossing.

The 30-foot boat, designed by the duo themselves, will be constructed primarily from carbon fiber, but the fully-loaded vessel will still tip the scales at one ton. The ship will be outfitted with electrical gadgets including GPS, a satellite phone, radio, radar, and a video recording system, while the hull shape itself is designed to right itself — a good thing, considering they’ll likely encounter waves up to 40 feet high.

The duo will take turns pedaling, and plan to swap every two hours. In addition to pushing the boat through water, power from pedaling will be stored in batteries, allowing the duo to power their electrical devices, in addition to a water desalination system. The boaters will carry 441 pounds of energy bars, freeze-dried meals, chocolate, peanuts, and beef jerky along to keep themselves powered. That’s essential, considering they need to pedal 85 rpm to average a speed of 3.3 mph across the journey. In all, they’ll rack up 4.5 million pedal revolutions from start to finish.

Undoubtedly, the project will require a large sum of money, but the pair already has a number of sponsorships, and funding will be directed to both charities once the journey is completed. Sayer and Byass expect to depart the Canary Islan

ommitted to Formula 1 in 2010 thanks in large part to Luxembourg-based company Genii Capital Investment.

The highly confidential deal will be completed early next year, Renault said in a statement, and it will continue to be business as usual for the Renault F1 team. Insiders say Genii beat out rival Prodrive to the investment opportunity and took a hefty 75% stake in the outfit.

Lucky for him, Pole Robert Kubica will remain as the team’s prized driver. A suitable teammate for Kubica is currently being evaluated, with China’s Ho-Pin Tung being a top contender for the seat. Tung is managed by Gravity, a company owned in part by Genii head Gerard Lopez.

Despite his well-publicized reservations about Renault continuing to compete in F1, Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn approved the deal. Doubts surrounding Renault’s future in F1 were spring-boarded by a mid-year scandal that saw driver Nelson Piquet admit to crashing intentionally during the 2008 Singapore GP under alleged

-electric-powered sports coupe with a unique gullwing door setup. Several automakers have trotted out sexy-looking EVs lately, and not surprisingly, Renault says the DeZir “is proof that electric vehicles and a love of cars are by no means incompatible.”

Renault says the DeZir, which drew inspiration from Renault’ of several concepts to production vehicles that will further explore the brand’s new, more expressive design direction. DeZir reportedly features front end design cues that will find their way to future production Renaults.

The DeZir’s electric motor is rated at 110 kilowatts (150 horsepower) and 166 pound feet of instantly available torque. It’s a minor evolution of the setup found in Renault’s zero-emission Z.E. series of cars, which employ roughly the same powertrain as the Nissan Leaf thanks to the Nissan/Renault alliance.

The motor of the rear drive DeZir is mounted in a mid-rear position to optimize weight distribution. The DeZir’s vertically mounted 24kWh lithium-ion battery pack is located behind the seat. Renault says the DeZir can shoot from 0 to 62 mph in 5 seconds flat onto a top speed of 112 mph. The 1830-pound car’s range is pegged at 100 miles and charge times vary depending on connection

In order to keep weight down, the DeZir’s body is made from Kevlar and its sleek shape scores it a drag coefficient (Cd) of just 0.25. Its tubular steel frame is similar to the setup of its Megane Trophy race car, as are elements of its double wishbone suspension. DeZir also employs a kinetic energy recovery system along the lines of the KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) from Formula 1. When the car decelerates, kinetic energy is recovered and stored. When enough energy is available, the driver can get a temporary power boost by pushing a button on the steering wheel.

Van den Acker was one of the chief architects of Mazda’s Nagare design language (which the Japanese automaker is reportedly abandoning), and there are some similarities to recent Mazda concepts, such as lots of flowing lines all over the car from front to back. And then there are the cross-drilled aluminium side panels that evoke the Audi R8.

But the DeZir has plenty of its own character, including the left- and right-hand opening gullwing doors that Renault says symbolize a “ying and yang-style amorous harmony.” There are the requisite 21-inch concept wheels, roof and headlight “eyelids,” and a Renault logo designed to float in the middle of the grille. The front and back lines are supposed to be reminiscent of ripples on water. Its bright red color is contrasted by a white and red interior that Renault says evokes “the idea of an amorous encounter” (no, we’re not making this up, read the press release below) and features a unique white bench seat with red ripples.

For more on the DeZir, check out the press release below:

Under the leadership of Laurens van den Acker, Renault’s Design Department has taken its inspiration from the brand’s new signature ‘Drive the Change’ and explores Renault’s styling roots to express the company’s powerful human dimension via a new strategy founded on the notion of the ‘life cycle’. This vision also builds on the bonds that are gradually forged between the brand and its customers at watershed moments of their lives, such as when they fall inlove, begin to explore the world, start a family, begin work, take time out to play and gain wisdom.

This approach coincides with the introduction of a new Renault design language that takes its inspiration from the three keywords which communicate the brand’s vision, namely ‘simple’, ‘sensuous’ and ‘warm’.

In keeping with this strategy, Renault’s concept cars will progressively express this vision, paving the way for a product plan based on a range of rational, user-friendly cars.

To implement this, Renault Design has revised its methodology, and a single team of designers will now be responsible for each new concept car and for the subsequent production model it previews.

DeZir is the first project to be led by Laurens van den Acker and exemplifies the brand’s new philosophy with regard to design. It also marks the implementation of the strategy based on the notion of a ‘life cycle’. The first step involves falling in love, an experience that is perfectly illustrated by DeZir’s powerful, sensuous styling and bright red finish; red being the colour associated with passion.
